Opinion: Despite record solar installations, the rate of clean energy deployment is less than half what the IEA says is needed.

OPINION

In 2025, the world installed approximately 600 gigawatts of new renewable capacity — a record. At that rate, it would take 56 years to reach the IEA target. We need to install roughly 1.4 terawatts per year, every year, starting now.
